Ottawa Public Health is mandating by Municipal Order the use of mask sin many indoor public spaces effective July 7, 2020 at 12:01 AM to help trap COVID-19.
This Order necessarily effects businesses and other organizations who are open to the public. The Order is designed to ensure that no member of the public is permitted to enter or remain in the public areas of the Enclosed Public Space unless he or she is wearing a mask in a manner that covers their nose, mouth and chin. For more information, please read the Letter of Direction of Dr. Vera Etches, Medical Officer of Health for Ottawa Public Health. It requires that businesses prepare and circulate a policy to its employees similar to our Draft Policy found here:
Remember, you also need to place a copy of the Public Notice by all public entrances to your business or organization. Public Health can demand to see your Policy and Public Notice to ensure compliance with the Public Order. Public Notice found here:
